We’re a well-knit digital design studio working with products, brands and (no-)code. Founders come to us because we design beautiful and highly-converting websites that attract lucrative leads. That means we gotta try harder than Squarespace templates.
You’re free to do the job your way, but the team is there for you. Doesn’t matter if you’re just in a pickle or need a real talk about your career — there’s always folks happy to give you a hand.
And hey, we’re not here to point the finger at what to do. If you see something we can improve or know how to reach our goals — do it and get your cred.
The team is already asking about you. Don't make them wait, apply!
Your day-to-day
- You’ll help us create more ambitious, polished and interactive web experiences for early-stage startups and digital brands.
- You’ll work at the intersection of design and development, turning visual concepts into motion-rich, coded interactions.
- You’ll collaborate closely with designers to understand their ideas, expand them and bring them to life in the browser.
- You’ll create advanced web animations, microinteractions, transitions and scroll-based experiences using modern frontend tools, CSS and JavaScript.
- Depending on the project, you may work with GSAP, SVG, Canvas, Three.js, WebGL, shaders or other animation techniques.
- You’ll build interactive prototypes and production-ready motion patterns for websites and digital products.
- You’ll prepare clean, reusable and developer-friendly code that can be implemented smoothly by the wider dev team.
- You’ll explore what’s technically possible and suggest smarter, more interesting interaction ideas.
- You’ll care about performance, responsiveness and smoothness, so the final experience works as well as it looks.
- You’ll help raise the overall motion and interaction quality of the web projects we deliver at tonik.
It’s a match if you’re like this
- You’re a creative frontend person – somewhere between a developer, creative coder, motion thinker and design-sensitive problem solver.
- You’re strong in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, well beyond standard website implementation.
- You can create polished web animations and interactions directly in code.
- You know how to work with advanced CSS animations, transitions, transforms, custom properties, masks, clip-paths and scroll-driven animations.
- You have hands-on experience with Three.js, React Three Fiber, WebGL, GLSL or shaders.
- You’ve worked with GSAP, Framer Motion, Motion or similar animation libraries.
- You’re comfortable using SVG, Canvas or generative visuals to create richer web experiences.
- You understand motion principles: easing, timing, rhythm, hierarchy and interaction feel.
- You have a strong eye for design and know when an interaction feels good, not just when it technically works.
- You’re comfortable working closely with designers and translating abstract visual ideas into working prototypes.
- You’ve built interactive web demos, motion-heavy websites, creative coding experiments or similar projects.
- You write clean, thoughtful and optimized code.
- You communicate clearly and can explain technical possibilities and limitations to both designers and developers.
- You enjoy experimenting, prototyping and finding unexpected ways to make web experiences more engaging.
- You have a portfolio, personal website, CodePen, GitHub or similar place where we can see your interactive work.
Bonus points
- Experience with React, Next.js or similar modern frontend frameworks.
